MARIAH VIMAN

Mariah Viman is a multidisciplinary creative, architectural designer, writer, and intuitive. A 2021 graduate of Barnard College at Columbia University, she holds a degree in Architecture with a specialization in Italian History and Furniture Design. Her work lives at the intersection of spatial design, mysticism, fashion, and cultural storytelling.

Throughout her architectural career, Mariah has pushed boundaries—reimagining what architecture can represent through the lens of a Black female artist. Her practice is deeply informed by her work as a seasoned tarot reader and intuitive guide, with nearly a decade of experience reading for clients across the globe. Mysticism is not a departure from her design work—it is a foundation. Her spaces, narratives, and concepts are shaped by an emotional intelligence rooted in ritual, symbolism, and spiritual lineage.

“In a time of destruction, create something.” Maxine Hong Kingston’s words encapsulate Mariah’s ethos. Her work is not merely a collection of architectural forms—it is a visual and energetic memoir. Each project is an act of reclamation, a response to underrepresentation, and an offering to future visionaries navigating exclusionary systems.

Mariah's writing and design work have been featured in Architectural Digest, where she contributed to the AD100 2025 issue, marking a milestone in her ongoing effort to elevate diverse voices in the field. Her portfolio is a living archive—equal parts legacy and revolution—inviting us to engage, feel, and build with intention.
